What actually drives youngsters nowadays to play computer games non-stop for 24 hours?? Personally , i think it is because of three factors : peer pressure , escaping the real world and thrill of the games. Let me elaborate more....
Peer pressure is something everyone suffers under. If there is a computer game that everyone plays , it would eventually draw others to play it just because of the fact that they do not want to be the odd one out. This is one of the worst addictions. As long as a few people play it, alot of people continue to play it to not feel "out " and have a topic to talk about.
Escaping the real world is equally bad. However , it is mostly directed to youngsters who do not feel accepted in the real world. They might be despised by classmates , hated by teachers and have uncaring parents. Therefore , they escape the world by playing computer games.
Thrill of the game is one of the most major factors though. This is because game thrills brings people of any age , any kind to come together and play games. This is particularly for famous games . Especially the world famous games , world of warcraft. Those famous games requires a long time to complete and therefore requires alot of time .
Playing computer games is not all that bad. If one is stressed , he may play such games to relieve stress. However , addiction is not good.

The singaporean life.
The other day when i was on the Mrt , i had luckily found a seat during the peak after french. However , i was shocked at one of the passenger's reaction to my "actions"....
After finding my seat , i saw a pregnant lady standing quite a distance from the place i was sitting. Seeing this , i went over to offer the lady my seat . However , when i went back i saw another woman sitting on my seat . It only took 5 seconds and the women was already on the seat. I feel that this is very inconsiderate because the woman did not even bother to see why i went of my seat. This might just well reflect a typical singaporean. Whenever i want to sit on a mrt seat , i look around to see whether anyone else needs it more than me and whether anyone else wants to sit. I did it and i do see other people doing that also . I dont wish that these are for minorities.
After this incident , i do beleive that some people need more social minds. I do wish that me myself can set a example for even if not all people, my juniors can be the start of a more civilised community.
